Alice In Wonderland - Mad Hatter Tea Party

Alice in Wonderland and Mad Hatter

Our Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatter Tea Party can be adjusted for teens, ladies day out and adult parties.

Some items included in this party are:
  • Menu Guide
  • Crafts for children
  • Mad Hatter Costume
  • Alice Costume
 2 croquet sets - 12 mallets - 12 flamingos attached to mallets

I purchased the smaller dark pink flamingos at a local store. They only had 9 of them so I made 3 more out of 1/4" plywood. I then purchased soft nerf type balls so they would be easier to hit with the mallets. The girls were so excited when they walked out to the patio and the 12 mallets were waiting for them.

Croquet Wickets

My sister and I created 7 croquet wickets out of 1/4" plywood. I found some of the ideas at partywishes. I found photos of the Alice in Wonderland characters, printed them out, had them blown up at our local print store, then traced them onto plywood and cut them out with a gigsaw. We then painted them both on the front and on the back. If you are standing at the back of the court, you see each characters back. It was a lot of fun and each wicket took about 8 hours.

White Rabbit Yard Sign Welcome Guests

The entryway White Rabbit is holding a clock and blowing a bugle making sure your guests know they have arrived at a party that will surely hold some surprises. The White Rabbit is also made out of 1/4" plywood. If you would like to know how I keep him up, email me and I'll tell you my secret.

Painting the Flower Red
I purchased red and white rose bushes at the local craft store. The white one's I partially painted red. I left the can and paint brush next to the bush. I had one of these located at the entrance to my home, and two in the back yard. Again, a big hit with the guests.

Mushroom Stool Chairs

I made 3 of these mushroom stool seat chairs for the party. One was stripped and two were poka-dots. These were a big hit. I placed two together in front of the Alice in Wonderland croquet court and one toward the back of the court. The back of the yard provided some beautiful shade and was also a good picture spot. I took photos of each of the girls on the mushrooms. Notice in the background the large flowers. These are artificial but look real and added to the illusion of Wonderland.

6 Large Stacked Tea Cups

I found 6 large tea cups at 2 different local discout stores. They were meant to be planters, but are pefect for the Alice in Wonderland theme. They are ceramic and pretty heavy, and really beautiful. I placed three on the porch at the end of the table, and 3 in the yard, (out of the way of the flying croquet balls).

Mad Hater Tea Party Place Setting

The plates are sculpted and look like flowers. I found them in various colors of purple, blue, yellow, red, and pink. I added pink fabric napkins with pipe cleaner napkin rings. I then placed colorful artificial flowers into the napkins. Large tea cups were found at a local import store. Look closely and you will see a name card with a picture of the Mad Hatter Tea Party. I used business card stock and photoshopped each childs name onto the card. The children were able to take their name place cards home.

Mad Hatter Tea Party Table Setting
For our table setting, we use ceramic tea cups, fabric table cloths in your choice of pink, blue, or burgandy, napkins in various colors, napkin rings with artificial flowers, flower shaped plates (feel like Tupperware material), two 6' long tables, and tea pots in various shapes and sizes.

Princess Tea Party

Princess Tea Party

Our Princess Tea Party will make your little girl feel like Royalty.

A few months ago I hosted my first Princess Tea Party. I planned and worked on the party for about a month. Finding real tiaras and sceptors, took a lot of research time. I purchased fabric chair covers and huge pink organza ribbon to tie around the chairs and created large bows.

My niece helped me set the table with with fine China, crystal, tea pots, pink cloth napkins, napkin rings, white tablecloth, and table decorations. On each plate sat a glass slipper which I filled with mini m&m's. Nothing was too elaborate for the little Princesses.

Beautiful gowns to choose from in sizes 4T to 12

I was able to purchase these beautiful gowns at a terrific price at Macy's. Since then I have purchased many more in various sizes. The girls went nuts when they discovered they were able to pick out their very own princess gown. I set the living room up as a dressing area with 4 stations; dresses, hair, jewelry, & make-up. On the invitation I asked the girls to wear one piece bathing suits under their clothing. This allowed them to feel comfortable changing in front of each other.

The girls loved moving from station to stations getting their hair and make-up done. They were so excited the laughter was wonderful and the highlight of my day.

We did a wonderful craft project. I purchased little photo albums and self stick jewels. Early on in the party, I took photographs of each of the girls as well as a group shot. I printed them out while the girls were decorating their photo albums. By the time they were printed out, the girls were finished and were able to put their group photo in front of the album and their individual photograph inside. They loved it!

My niece wanted a cake that was "grown-up," so I created this make-up cake. The girls loved it and took the crowning pieces home with them.

And of course, there had to be a tea pot cake.

At the end of the day, it is all about the Princess we love!

Gymnastics Birthday Party

Today we had a gymnastic theme birthday party. It was a small party with 6 children present. We held the event at America’s Best Kids, Medford, Oregon. Coach Kid was on hand to lead the kids through their games.

First the kids jumped off the “Tower of Terror” into a pit of foam pieces. As they stood on the edge I could see fear on their faces, but they all eventually jumped. Of course it was so much fun they all had to jump again and again.

Coach Kid directed the kids though a game where one child sits on a giant mailbox and the other pushes them across the floor. They then got into a potato sack and ran back to the finish line. It was so much fun.

Introducing the kids to the bars was a lot of fun. They all took to it like pros. It was wonderful how they showed no fear in flipping over the bar.

When the games were done, everyone won a medal for a special achievement they had accomplished.

Party time included a gymnastics cake that I made in purple and pink. There were gymnasts doing flips and lunges. The kids absolutely loved them and the coaches were amazed.

We ordered Gymnastic plates and napkins from shindigZ. We also ordered matching cups and tablecloth in the birthday girl's favorite color of purple.
